"Project Responsibilities
Design and evolve scalable distributed systems in Go, choosing appropriate concurrency models and ensuring a balance between performance and maintainability.
Collaborate with Product Managers to refine high-level business goals into actionable technical plans and delivery roadmaps.
Anticipate and highlight edge cases, risks, and technical constraints early in the planning phase to avoid issues during implementation.
Represent the engineering team in meetings with external stakeholders, explaining technical topics in clear, business-centric terms and challenging unrealistic requirements.
Lead and perform code reviews for other senior engineers, ensuring high standards for code quality, resilience, and reliability.
Drive improvements in CI/CD pipelines and engineering processes, helping the team ship high-quality code faster and more safely.
Candidate's Portrait
Experienced Go Application Architect with 7+ years of hands-on development in Go, specializing in building scalable and high-performance backend systems. Proven track record of leading and coordinating 3+ development teams, driving Go implementations, and ensuring architectural consistency and delivery excellence across projects.
Tech stack to know
-Golang (design of scalable, distributed backend systems)
-Concurrency patterns in Go (goroutines, channels, sync primitives)
-System design for high performance and maintainability
-CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g. GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
-Senior Go engineer who has grown into an architectural role and can independently own the technical design of complex systems. Beyond writing high-quality Go code, this person should be able to:
-Translate ambiguous business requirements into a clear, well-structured technical architecture
-Design distributed and microservice-based systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, and maintainable
-Make and justify architectural trade-offs (performance vs. complexity, consistency vs. availability, build vs. buy)
-Design robust API contracts (REST/gRPC) with versioning and backward compatibility in mind
-Architect data storage strategies across relational and non-relational databases, including schema design and query optimization
-Design event-driven and asynchronous flows using message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, NATS)
-Anticipate scalability and reliability risks before they become production incidents, and design systems that account for load, failure modes, and observability from the start
-Produce clear architecture documentation (ADRs, technical specs, diagrams) that both engineers and business stakeholders can follow
-Guide and mentor development teams on best practices, code quality, and Go idioms without formally managing them
-Communicate technical decisions and trade-offs effectively to Product Owners, Solution Architects, and other non-technical stakeholders
-Evaluate new technologies, tools, and frameworks and assess their fit for the team's technical roadmap
-Balance hands-on coding with architectural oversight — staying technically credible while enabling other engineers to execute
