Head of Product (Fintech, Africa)

We are looking for an experienced Head of Product to lead product strategy for a locally regulated digital trading company focused on African markets.

This role requires strong experience in building financial products within local regulatory frameworks, with a deep understanding of regional market dynamics, customer behavior, and operational specifics.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute product strategy aligned with local regulatory requirements across African markets.
• Lead product development across different product lifecycle stages.
• Adapt the product offering to local market conditions and customer needs.
• Work closely with technology, compliance, legal, and commercial teams.
• Drive product-market fit within licensed local jurisdictions.
• Identify market opportunities and support business growth across the region.

Requirements

• 5+ years in senior product leadership within fintech, brokerage, online trading, or financial services.
• Proven experience working with locally regulated financial products in Africa or comparable emerging markets.
• Strong understanding of regional regulatory requirements, payment infrastructure, and customer behavior.
• Experience launching financial products under local licensing frameworks.
• Strong execution skills with a commercial mindset.

Preferred

• Direct experience working with financial regulators or licensed entities in Africa.
• Experience with trading or brokerage platforms.
• Deep understanding of regional market specifics and customer expectations.
