We are looking for a highly driven Product Manager to lead the development and evolution of an automated robotic solution: RoboShops (https://www.asbis.com/roboshops)
The Product Manager will work closely with engineering, robotics, hardware, service and external technology partners to translate business and customer needs into a reliable, scalable and commercially viable product.
The ideal candidate combines strong product thinking and analytical skills with a practical understanding of hardware-software products, integrations and real-world operational environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the complete customer and operational journey: ordering, payment, coffee preparation, pickup, queue management, replenishment, cleaning, maintenance and service.
- Gather and prioritize requirements from customers, business stakeholders, operations, service teams and technology partners.
- Translate business and operational needs into clear product specifications, user stories, functional and non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Coordinate development across software, robotics, hardware, payment/POS, coffee equipment and monitoring systems.
- Manage integrations with payment providers, POS systems, acquiring platforms and other external services.
- Define and improve remote monitoring, alerts, diagnostics, inventory/ingredient monitoring and service workflows.
- Work with engineering and operations teams to improve kiosk reliability, availability, throughput and ease of maintenance.
- Lead product releases from discovery and planning through development, testing, deployment, rollout and post-release analysis.
- Use operational and product data to identify bottlenecks, failures and opportunities for automation and product improvement.
- Support product localization and deployment across different markets, including market-specific payment, operational and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Product Manager, Product Owner or Project Manager managing technology products.
- Experience working with complex products involving both software and physical/hardware components will be a strong advantage.
- Strong ability to analyze and map end-to-end business and operational processes.
- Proven experience gathering and translating business requirements into clear product specifications.
- Proficiency in writing user stories, functional/non-functional requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Good understanding of APIs, data flows, system integrations and payment/POS technologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively with software developers, hardware engineers and other technical specialists without necessarily being an engineer.
- Experience with products involving automation, robotics, IoT, self-service, unattended retail or operational technology is highly desirable.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies, including SCRUM and KANBAN.
- Experience working with external technology vendors and integration partners.
- Technical background or education in IT, engineering, business or a related field.
