Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋

Actively looking for a new opportunity to work on a team focusing on projects with real business impact? Do you thrive in environments where you can help raise the bar for quality, drive collaboration, and mentor others to reach their full potential? If so, you might be in the right place!

Lightspeed is looking for a Senior Product Designer to join our Onboarding team. Our customers are retailers ranging from simple merchants running a single store with a small product catalog, to scale merchants managing multiple stores and thousands of products, all of whom need to get up and running on Lightspeed as quickly as possible. In this role, you'll help define and optimize the onboarding funnel across these different retailer profiles, obsessing over reducing steps, cutting manual effort, and using data to help merchants hit key onboarding milestones in their first month and build a regular selling habit on POS. You'll help define a vision through iterative design and delivery.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of transforming complex workflows into simple, clear customer journeys with user-friendly interfaces that seamlessly integrate with other workflows. You excel at identifying opportunities to deliver value and thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with engineers and product managers to create exceptional customer experiences.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Problem Solving: Lead project work from a design perspective with autonomy and authority, facilitating design reviews and working sessions to help the teams deliver the best possible solutions. Turn nebulous concepts into specific ideas that are useful and delightful product features. Explores and integrates AI and emerging technologies to shape new approaches.

  • Embedding Systems Thinking: Have UX expertise and deep understanding of design systems, UI design, and how micro-interactions can help users complete a task. Design holistic systems, flows and interfaces that are simple, elegant, and user-friendly. Understand how to use the current design system best to ensure consistency across platforms and contribute to its continuous improvement.

  • Driving User-Centricity: Draw insights from research and data, and know how to turn those insights into tangible solutions. Build relationships and advocate for the user when collaborating with cross-functional teams in product, engineering, and marketing.

  • Collaboration: Be a positive role model and culture carrier within the studio as well as an advocate for design within the Lightspeed organisation.

What you need to bring:

  • At least 5 years of practical, in-house product, UX/UI design experience.

  • Excellent communication skills. You can bring internal stakeholders on your design journey and explain work with focus and brevity.

  • Strong aesthetic skills to help elevate the visual identity of our brands.

  • A curiosity to continuously evolve your design process by leveraging AI tools to deliver better, more user-centered products.

  • Applied experience working across all digital and physical manifestations of what we design - from the responsive web to native applications to the next technological leap.

  • An acute level of self-awareness and deep empathy - for both the customer and your team’s goals.

  • A deep curiosity and ability to consider product strategy and vision. You don’t just care about “how it looks,” or “what we should design,” but “why are we designing this at all?”

  • An arsenal of design tools such as Figma, Google Suite, JIRA, and other AI prototyping tools.

We know that people are more than what’s on their CV. If you’re excited about the opportunity but unsure whether you meet every requirement, we’d still encourage you to apply.

Be a changemaker

You’ll enjoy:

  • Lots of autonomy, flexible work culture working from our Auckland office.

  • Genuine career growth opportunities within a company that's continuously expanding.

  • Make a meaningful impact by helping merchants grow their businesses through creating or improving products and addressing customer feedback.

  • Be part of a team large enough for growth yet agile enough for real impact.

Product & Design Intern (Tabby Imagine)

tabbyНа сервисе с: 03.10.26 18:02
Зарплата не указанаСаудовская АравияRiyadhОфис

About the role

There is no CV screen for this one. The only way in is Tabby Imagine, an open design and product challenge for Saudi Arabia. Three places are awarded, first, second and third, and each winner takes this role.

  • Come up with a product idea for Tabby: something new, or a change to what is already there.
  • Send it in whatever form shows it best: a written page, a Figma file, a clickable prototype, working code, or a short video. One of them is enough, and there is no required format. Everything reaches us as a link. The entry form requires one and there is no file upload, so a written entry is sent as a link to the written page. Every link has to open for anyone holding it. Our design system is public at brand.tabby.ai.
  • Entries are read blind. Your name is hidden while the panel scores.
  • The strongest entrants present their work live at the final, in front of an audience. That session replaces the interview for this role. Naming you publicly as a winner needs your separate consent, and refusing it does not disqualify you.

Entries open on 16 September and close on 30 September. Register at tabby.sa/en-SA/engineering/imagine.

We are hiring on evidence of how you think about a product. Your challenge entry is that evidence, and it is the only thing the panel reads.

Responsibilities

Interns work on real product decisions under senior review.

Product work end to end
  • Take a real problem in the Tabby app from question to shipped change
  • Run the research. Talk to users, read the data, and work out what is actually broken
  • Size the problem honestly and say what you would not do

Design
  • Design the solution in Figma: flows, screens, states, edge cases
  • Take the work through critique with the product and design team and rework it
  • Hand off to engineers and stay with the build through release

After launch
  • Measure what happened and say plainly whether it worked
  • Bring the result back to the team, including when the answer is no

Working across teams
  • Work with engineers, analysts and product managers on the same problem
  • Present your work, defend the decisions, and change your mind when the evidence says so
  • Write clearly enough that someone who was not in the room can act on it

Qualifications

Required

  • 18 or over
  • Evidence that you can make a product decision, not just draw a screen. Your challenge entry is that evidence
  • Comfortable in Figma: components, prototyping, handing work over to engineers
  • Clear written Arabic or English. Both are judged the same way and no translation is needed
  • Willingness to have your work argued with, and to argue back with evidence

Strong plus

  • Any shipped work: a personal app, a university project that reached real users, freelance product work
  • Basic comfort with data: reading a funnel, understanding what a metric is actually saying
  • Front-end familiarity, enough to know what is cheap and what is expensive to build
  • Interest in fintech, payments, or how people in Saudi actually handle money

What we do not expect

  • Professional product or design experience
  • A degree in design
  • A polished portfolio. Work in progress counts
  • Certifications of any kind

Benefits

Eligibility

  • Anyone living in Saudi Arabia, 18 or over, citizens and residents alike, entering as individuals
  • There are no team entries
  • Current Tabby employees and contractors, their immediate families, and anyone who left Tabby in the last twelve months cannot enter
  • We expect a full-time level of engagement. The internship is not part-time. Performance, ownership and involvement are expected at a full-time level

Format

  • Six months, starting after the final in mid-October 2026
  • Funded and paid in full by Tabby, SAR 3,000 a month
  • Full integration into a product or design team at Tabby, matched to the work you did in the challenge
  • Distributed team across multiple countries. If you are based in Riyadh, the working mode is office-first
  • A path to a junior role on the team afterwards. That is our intent and what we aim for, not a guarantee: it depends on how the internship goes
  • Three places are open, first, second and third, and each one is this role
  • Subject to a separate contract and the required eligibility checks

Dates

  • 16 September, entries open
  • 30 September, entries close
  • 15 October, the final, where you present live. It replaces the interview

This internship is intentionally demanding and designed for people aiming for fast professional growth in product and design.

It will be a plus
