About Accelerate Prosperity:

Accelerate Prosperity (AP) is a new global initiative of the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) in Central and South Asia, which provides a formal structure to catalyze enterprises, where economic opportunities remain insufficient. AP's mission is to create inclusive economic growth and empowerment, with a focus on youth and women in rural areas, by catalyzing sustainable Small and Growing Businesses (SGBs), and by promoting entrepreneurship. Through patient capital and tailored technical assistance and business advisory to startups and existing businesses, AP inspires entrepreneurship by offering lean startup incubation, preparing promising enterprises for investment, facilitating mentorship, and enabling access to angel and investment financing. To strengthen digital presence and storytelling, we are seeking a Content & Social Media Specialist who will be responsible for content creation, video production, and social media management.

Objective of the Position

The objective of this role is to ensure consistent, high-quality, and engaging content across Accelerate Prosperity’s digital platforms, strengthen brand visibility, and support program promotion through visual storytelling and social media.

Required Qualifications

Education:

• Degree in Communications, Media, Marketing, Journalism, or related field (preferred)

Experience:

• 1–3 years of experience in content creation, SMM, or digital media

Skills:

• Confident social media usage and understanding of content trends
• Basic photo and video shooting skills
• Video editing skills (CapCut or similar tools)
• Canva and/or Figma skills
• Fluency in English, Russian, and Kyrgyz (written and spoken)

Scope of Work

Content Creation

• Create engaging content for social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube)
• Write captions, short texts, and descriptions aligned with AP’s tone of voice
• Develop monthly content plans in coordination with the communications team
• Prepare basic scripts and concepts for videos, reels, and short-form content

Video & Visual Production

• Conduct basic photo and video shooting during events, trainings, and field activities
• Edit short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, stories) using tools such as CapCut or similar
• Create simple visual materials using Canva or Figma templates
• Ensure visual content aligns with AP’s branding guidelines

Social Media Management

• Publish content according to the approved content plan
• Monitor comments, messages, and audience engagement
• Respond to basic inquiries and maintain community interaction
• Track basic performance metrics and support monthly analytics reporting

Coordination with External Contractors (Occasional)

• Prepare basic briefs for external contractors (designers, videographers, photographers) when needed
• Coordinate communication regarding timelines and deliverables
• Collect and organize materials produced by contractors
• No responsibility for contracts, payments, or budget management

Deliverables

• Short-form videos and visual materials
• Photo and video coverage of events
• Basic social media performance insights
