Andersen is hiring a QA Engineer in Almaty for a project developing a banking loyalty platform and ensuring reliable, scalable services and seamless system integrations.
The customer is a well-established financial institution providing a broad range of banking and financial services to individual and corporate clients. It combines an extensive service network with modern digital solutions, offering retail and business banking, payments, lending, and other financial products. The organization continues to invest in technology and service development to improve customer experience, operational efficiency, and accessibility.
The project is focused on developing and enhancing a banking loyalty platform with complex business logic and multiple integrations with internal and external systems. It aims to provide scalable, reliable, and seamless loyalty services while supporting diverse customer reward and engagement scenarios.
- Preparing and executing test cases in accordance with project requirements and tasks.
- Identifying, documenting, and tracking defects through resolution.
- Verifying implemented changes and new functionality.
- Participating in requirements analysis and assessing product quality risks.
- Collaborating with the development team, analysts, and other project stakeholders to ensure release quality.
- Experience in manual testing for 2+ years, primarily focused on backend, API, and integration testing.
- Experience in banking, fintech, or payment systems, including testing loyalty programs, bonuses, cashback, and financial transactions.
- Strong knowledge of REST APIs (Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI), SQL, HTTP, JSON, and client-server architecture.
- Experience testing microservices and event-driven systems, including Kafka (topics, producers/consumers, event processing).
- Experience with functional, integration, regression, and E2E testing, as well as data reconciliation across multiple systems.
- Ability to analyze business and system requirements, identify missing or contradictory scenarios, and independently plan and organize testing activities.
- Strong skills in log analysis and defect localization using Kibana, Grafana, or similar tools.
- Experience preparing test cases, checklists, test data, and reports, as well as documenting defects clearly and thoroughly.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Colvir or other core banking systems.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD.
- Ability to independently work with a large number of integrations and dependencies and collaborate effectively with Business Analysts, System Analysts, developers, and Product Owners.
- Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
- API test automation skills.
