About the Role

The Innovation Architect acts as a Solution Architect for collaboration and ways of working within Miro’s Miro Optimization Services & Training (MOST) program.

MOST is Miro’s annual professional services subscription designed for enterprise customers who need ongoing, flexible access to expert guidance—not a one-time project.
Customers receive 240 hours per year of services to help them design, implement, and scale collaboration solutions in Miro across teams, functions, and geographies.

In this role, the Innovation Architect partners with customers to translate business strategy into scalable collaboration architectures inside Miro.
This includes diagnosing workflow and adoption challenges, designing governance and operating models, and shaping a structured, outcomes-driven solution roadmap that evolves as customer needs change.

Innovation Architects operate as trusted advisors to both business and technical stakeholders.
They design end-to-end collaboration solutions by combining process design, workspace architecture, governance, and enablement to ensure customers achieve measurable value from Miro

What you'll do

  • Lead discovery to understand customer goals, workflows, and pain points; translate findings into a structured MOST game plan aligned to their 240-hour allocation
  • Facilitate vision, alignment, and prioritization sessions to help customers define outcomes, success criteria, and adoption milestones
  • Conduct collaboration, workflow, and workspace assessments; synthesize insights and provide clear recommendations for improvement
  • Design and implement governance frameworks (workspace structure, naming, access, lifecycle, templates) that reduce risk and support long-term scalability
  • Guide customers through change-management initiatives, including communication plans, stakeholder alignment, and rollout sequencing
  • Coach teams on Miro best practices, intelligent templates, AI workflows, and techniques to streamline planning, retrospectives, decision-making, and cross-functional work
  • Facilitate workshops across Agile ceremonies, product development, innovation, research, design thinking, and strategy development
  • Build lightweight prototypes, templates, and reusable workflows that accelerate customer adoption and demonstrate the art of the possible
  • Partner with IT/Admin stakeholders to establish standards, reduce tool sprawl, and drive consistency in workspace setup and governance
  • Recommend process optimizations that increase operational efficiency, improve collaboration quality, and reduce context switching
  • Provide ongoing advisory support throughout the MOST subscription, updating forecasts, adjusting plans, and ensuring hours are used strategically
  • Track progress against milestones and outcomes; flag risks early and help customers re-prioritize work as business needs evolve
  • Collaborate with CSMs, Architects, and Engagement Managers to ensure consistent delivery and alignment across customer stakeholders
  • Contribute to internal playbooks, templates, and delivery assets that improve team leverage and delivery efficiency across Professional Services
  • Stay current on Miro innovations, AI features, and collaboration trends to continuously uplevel customer guidance

What you'll need

  • 6+ years in consulting, change management, Agile transformation, digital collaboration, or similar fields
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale teams through workflow, process, or tool adoption initiatives
  • Proven ability to lead structured discovery, synthesize insights, and define actionable recommendations
  • Strong record of enabling cross-functional teams (IT, Product, Design, Strategy, PMO, Engineering) to adopt new tools or improve collaboration maturity

Technical Skills:

  • Familiarity with collaboration governance frameworks, workspace architecture, and lifecycle management
  • Experience with Human-Centered Design, Agile methodologies, Design Thinking, or innovation frameworks
  • Fluency in Miro (preferred) or similar platforms (Figma, Lucid, JIRA, Confluence)
  • Ability to map workflows, diagnose adoption barriers, and design scalable collaboration systems

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management ability
  • Skilled at simplifying complexity and driving clarity with senior and cross-functional audiences
  • Adaptable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in dynamic, ambiguous environments
  • Language: Near-native proficiency in Japanese and business-level English proficiency sufficient for internal communication, including meetings and discussions

About the Team

The Innovation Architect sits within Miro's Professional Services organization, specifically inside the MOST (Miro Optimization Services & Training) program. MOST is Miro's subscription-based PS offering for enterprise customers. Each customer gets 240 hours per year to work with Miro experts on designing, implementing, and scaling how their teams collaborate. Innovation Architects work alongside Customer Success Managers, Technical Architects, and Engagement Managers to deliver structured, outcomes-driven engagements across some of Miro's most complex accounts.

About the Role

Enterprise customers have the hours. What they often don't have is someone who can translate where they want to go into a concrete, sequenced plan for getting there inside Miro. That's the gap this role fills.

The Innovation Architect is the strategic and architectural layer of a MOST engagement. They run discovery, diagnose how teams actually work today, design the governance and collaboration infrastructure to support where the customer is heading, and build the roadmap for how 240 hours get used across the year. They also own AI workflow advisory, helping customers move from ad hoc Miro usage to intelligent, repeatable collaboration systems.

This role is open because the program is growing and the complexity of enterprise accounts has outpaced what CSMs and Technical Architects can absorb on top of their core scope. The right candidate has a consulting background, is fluent in collaboration platforms, and is comfortable running live discovery with a skeptical CTO and a frustrated Product Lead at the same time. They own delivery quality from day one.

What you’ll do

  • Own the solution roadmap for a portfolio of MOST accounts: run structured discovery, map the customer's operating model, and design a sequenced 240-hour plan tied directly to their business outcomes

  • Architect end-to-end Miro implementations covering workspace governance, access models, naming conventions, and lifecycle management for organizations operating at scale

  • Lead AI workflow advisory as a core workstream: diagnose collaboration inefficiencies and build intelligent, automated solutions using Miro's AI capabilities and adjacent platform integrations

  • Facilitate executive and cross-functional working sessions including Agile planning, design thinking, strategy, and innovation workshops

  • Drive adoption through change management: stakeholder alignment, communication planning, phased rollouts, and hands-on coaching on Miro best practices

  • Track progress against defined outcomes across the full subscription lifecycle, surface risks early, and adjust the plan as priorities shift

  • Contribute reusable delivery assets (templates, frameworks, playbooks) that raise the consistency floor across PS and reduce time-to-value for future engagements

What you’ll need

  • 6+ years in consulting, change management, Agile transformation, or professional services supporting enterprise organizations

  • Experience leading structured discovery with VP-level and above stakeholders and turning ambiguous findings into a clear, prioritized plan

  • Working knowledge of collaboration governance: workspace architecture, access models, naming conventions, and lifecycle management at enterprise scale

  • Fluency in Miro or a comparable collaboration platform (Figma, Lucid, Confluence, JIRA)

  • Hands-on experience designing AI-powered workflow optimization: automation, prompt-based workflows, or AI-assisted tooling in an enterprise environment

  • Able to simplify complex governance and architecture topics for non-technical audiences without losing the thread

  • Comfortable working across IT, Product, Design, Strategy, and PMO simultaneously, often with conflicting stakeholder priorities

  • Strong technical fluency: familiarity with APIs, integrations and enterprise IT ecosystems.
